New Legislation – Imports of New, Small, Spark Ignition Engines
The Australian Government have introduced new emissions standards for new small spark-ignition engines outdoor power equipment (such as lawn mowers, chainsaws and generators) and spark-ignition marine engines.  Note, this new legislation does NOT relate to importations of used equipment or the importation of equipment with diesel powered motors. Effective 1st July 2018 only products meeting the new emissions standards can be imported into Australia.

A reminder that Packing Declaration changes take effect this coming 1st July 2018. Wording in the Consignment Specific and Annual Packing Declarations are changing and previously accepted statements will no longer be permitted by Department of Agriculture and Water Resources.
