The Australian Government ratified the Trans Pacific Partnership (TPP-11), with the agreement coming into effect 30th December 2018.

The introduction of TPP-11 means Australia expands its reach of countries with which we have free trade agreements in place, most notably adding Canada and Mexico.  The agreement runs in conjunction with other free trade agreements already have in place with Japan, New Zealand and Singapore with more to follow shortly.
